NEET

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an examination conducted for students who wish to study medical and dental courses in government or private medical and dental colleges. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET(UG). It is a single-stage exam for entry to medical colleges in India. Through NEET-UG, one can get into world-class institutions including, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). It is a pen-and-paper-based exam conducted once every year. The eligibility for writing this exam is 50% for General and General-EWS candidates, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates in the 12th Class. NEET has more weightage for Biology.
